How to Use the Vault: Learn Sell Put from Real Positions
What Is the Vault
The Vault is an options portfolio our team runs with real money on Hyperstock. Real positions, real entry records, real P&L curves—all public.
Why build it? Because we say "Sell Put makes money"—and saying it ten thousand times is worse than showing you the live book. When each position was opened, at what strike, how much premium was collected, whether it's currently in profit or loss—it's all on the page.
For beginners, this is the most intuitive textbook—not "how you should trade," but "how we actually trade."
What the List Page Shows
The Vault list gives you the core metrics for each vault:
| Metric | Meaning | How to Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Annualized | Return converted to an annualized rate | Compare return levels across vaults |
| Past Year | The return curve over the last year | See whether it has been tested by drawdowns |
| TVL | Current total size of the vault | Very small vaults carry limited reference value |
| NAV | Cumulative net value since inception | Above 1.0 means profitable overall |
| Days Running | How long the vault has existed | The longer the track record, the more credible the data |
Search by name or creator, and click into any vault for its overview and position details.
Reference, Not Copy
When looking at a vault's positions, ask yourself three questions:
- Why this underlying? Solid fundamentals, high IV, or purely liquidity?
- How was the strike chosen? How far from the current price? Is that price gap a guess or grounded in something?
- When would they close? The positions page shows the trading history—note what signals triggered their take-profit and stop-loss.
Work through these three questions and you learn the method. Copy the strikes blindly and all you learn is order-following.
The Right Path for Beginners
- Step 1: Pick a vault that has been running for over 90 days with NAV above 1.0
- Step 2: Read its last 10 entries; write down the logic of each with pen and paper
- Step 3: Verify it yourself with Hyperstock's analysis tools—same underlying, would you pick the same strike?
- Step 4: Paper-follow for 2–4 weeks, making sure you understand why every action happens
- Step 5: Only then consider real money
The Vault is a frame of reference, not a promise of returns. Our positions lose money too—and when they do, that's public as well.
